This lot includes a set of two hats, a Nightingale band cap and a U.S. Postal Service cap originating from the early 20th century. The Letter Carrier cap is made of a dark blue felt with a canvas lining and cardboard helping keep its shape. The front of the cap shows a short sun visor, a faded gold colored tassel, and what looks like a harp above a wreath. The inside of the cap reads "Military & Society Goods - Pettibone Bros MFG. Co - Cincinnati, O - U.S.A.". The Nightingale band cap is made of a light brown felt with a golden color across the front. The front shows a golden colored tassel on a yellow background and the words Nightingale Band across the top. The inside of the hat is marked "The Henderson Ames Co. - Kalamazoo, Mich" in a faded lettering. The Postal Service cap is in good condition overall with some wear in places. The Nightingale Band cap is in fair condition with some damage to the back and lining. The postal cap measures 10" long by 8 1/2" wide, and the band cap measures 9" long by 8 1/4" wide.
