Auctioneer and Auction:
This auction is presented by L. H. Selman Ltd. Locust Street Auctions as identified with
the applicable licensing information either on the title page
of the catalog or on the Internet site (the "Auctioneer").
The auction is conducted under these Terms and Conditions of Auction
and applicable state and local law.
Bidders:
Any person participating in or who registers for the auction agrees
to be bound by and accepts these Terms and Conditions of Auction.
("Bidder(s)") Bidders are urged to read carefully the
following explanation of the conditions of sale, which contain
the terms on which L. H. Selman Ltd. conducts auctions. L. H.
Selman Ltd. reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.
Buyers Premium:
Successful bidders will be responsible for the total amount due
at the auctions close. Unsuccessful bidders will not be contacted.
Successful bidders must pay a fifteen percent [15%] Buyers Premium
on the hammer price of each item, plus applicable tax and shipping
fees.
Shipping and Tax:
Shipping, handling and insurance will be billed as follows: for
domestic shipping, $10 for first item, $4 for each additional
item; for international shipping, $18 for each item. Items will
be shipped to domestic buyers via FedEx two-day air unless otherwise
specified by the buyer, and to overseas buyers by airmail. Lots
delivered in the State of California are subject to all applicable
state and local taxes.
Advance Bidding Options:
Advance bidders are bound by L. H. Selman Ltd. general auction
terms and conditions posted for the auction for which the bids
are placed. Advance bids will be done as if the bidder is present.
Advance bidders will not have any claim against the L. H. Selman
Ltd. for failure to submit advance bids to the auctioneer. Bids
may be placed prior to the auction by Internet, telephone, fax,
email, or mail. When identical fax, email or mail bids are submitted,
preference is given to the first received; Internet bids are evaluated
as received first. The decision of the Auctioneer and declaration
of the winning Bidder is final. The Auctioneer is not responsible
for executing mail bids, email bids, or fax bids received on or
after the day the first lot is sold, nor Internet bids submitted
after the published closing time; nor is the Auctioneer responsible
for proper execution of bids submitted by telephone, mail, FAX,
e-mail, Internet, or in person once the auction begins. To ensure
the greatest accuracy, your written bids should be entered on
the standard bid sheet form and be received at the Auctioneer's
place of business at least two business days in advance of the
auction date.
Payment:
The buyer will be charged for any increased costs in shipping,
including postage, handling and insurance. Payment may be made
by major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
directly with us via our secure server or over the phone, PayPal,
check, or money order. PayPal will be billed to email address:
lselman@got.net. All checks and money orders must be drawn on
U. S. banks or in U. S. funds. Payment is due within ten [10]
days after the auction's close. Purchases will not be shipped
to the buyer until the full price has been paid.
Return Policy:
Upon the close of each lot, purchase is understood to be final.
The buyer must notify L. H. Selman Ltd. of any discrepancy within
48 hours of receipt. All items have been carefully selected and
described, but if you feel a lot has been misrepresented, requests
for return will be handled on an individual basis. Returned merchandise
will not be accepted without prior approval. In no event will
L. H. Selman Ltd. incur liability beyond the purchase price of
an individual lot.
Guarantee:
All lots are sold on an "as is" basis. L. H. Selman
Ltd. makes every effort to describe each lot with complete accuracy
and accepts responsibility for the authenticity of the items offered
for auction. Photographs are provided for the guidance of the

Estimates:
Estimates provided reflect current market trends. Use them as
a guideline when placing your bids.
Reserves:
This is a NO RESERVE auction, meaning that there is no confidential
minimum price that each lot much reach to become sold. Each lot
that receives at least one bid will be considered sold. L. H.
Selman Ltd. has the right to recover consigned lots that do not
have any bids.
Auction Description:
This auction contains 358 paperweights and related glass items
from L. H. Selman Ltd. Locust Street Auctions, purveyors of the finest in antique and
modern paperweights, and contemporary glass art in the world.
This is a NO RESERVE auction.
Auction Preview:
The items will be available for inspection during normal business
hours at 123 Locust Street, Santa Cruz, California, by appointment
only (800 538-0766, 831 427-1177). No appointments will be made
for the day of the auction.
