World War II Nazi 1939 Dated Mauser Banner "Eagle/C" Police Luger Pistol with Two Matching Magazines and 1939 Dated Police Holster

This excellent early 1939 dated Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol rig has the scarce "Eagle/C" Police proof. These were manufactured in a very short production run (1,360 manufactured in total) in early 1939 before Mauser switched to the standard Eagle/L Police proof. The chamber area is lightly stamped "1939" with the large Mauser/Banner logo on the front toggle. The scarce early eagle "C" Police proof is on the right receiver side with "Crown/U" commercial proofmark stamped on the left receiver side and breechblock. The complete serial number "1274w" is stamped on the front of the frame, (1274) stamped on the left side of the barrel extension and barrel underside. The last two digits of the serial number (74) are stamped on the various small parts. Salt blue finish and checkered grips, with two original all blue matching magazines. One is a Type II Army magazine and the second one is a Type IV police magazine. Both are correct and original. The aluminum bases are marked "2/1274/w/+" and "3/1274/Eagle C". With an early brown leather Police holster marked "Kern Klager & Cie/1939/BERLIN/Police Eagle" proofmark.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% plus of the original blue finish with some wear on the edges and high spots, and thinning on the grip straps and side plate. The grips are excellent with minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine with nice original brown color showing some minor wear and handling marks on the toe and upper front of the flap, and tight stitching. The markings on the back are clear.
