Winchester 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine in .30 WCF (.30-30) caliber, with EXCEPTIONALLY RARE PISTOL GRIP STOCK IS IN LIKE NEW CONDITION! The serial number on this 1894 Deluxe Saddle Ring carbine is 585079 indicating a production date of 1912. Of the several million Model 1894 rifles and carbines produced by Winchester, only 2983 had pistol grip stocks- and nearly all of these were rifles, NOT carbines. This spectacular carbine displays a rich deep blue on the receiver, barrel and magazine with bright and vivid case colors on the lever, hammer and special order shotgun butt plate- standard for this model was a curved carbine-style butt plate. The pistol grip retains the correct Winchester embossed hard rubber grip cap and all the Winchester address and proof markings on the barrel and receiver are as sharp and clear as the day it left the factory. This outstanding and rare variation carbine is also fitted with correct style early “hook-eye” sling swivels mounted as Winchester did in the butt stock and on the forend barrel band. It is fitted with the standard ladder carbine rear sight with elevation slide intact along with a standard carbine front sight. The walnut stock and forearm are in superb condition with tight wood to metal fit. The bore is bright and excellent. This is the classic, early 1894 Carbine that was popular with the Klondike gold seekers, Texas Rangers, cowboys, ranchers, big game hunters and Mexican Revolutionaries. One of the best of the Jonathan Browning designs; this model is still respected and used today. This superior special order 107 year old example is exceptional in every way. The Winchester 1894 saddle ring carbine is an iconic firearm from the turbulent days of the early part of the 20th century. Pistol grip carbines are seldom encountered or offered for sale and this 1894 Carbine has great rarity, MINT Bore, condition and visual appeal. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Matt
