You are bidding on a collection of 14 titles, published by the University of Oklahoma Press, Norman for their "Western Frontier Library Series". Many of the titles are first printings for the publisher. The University of Oklahoma Press started the Western Frontier Library Series in 1953 with "The Vigilantes of Montana". The series was aimed to "...introduce...many exciting events of our frontier past, and some of the memorable writing about them." Each volume in the library included an introduction by a "modern authority in the field". Though the latest date first printing in this collection is 1969, the publisher went on publishing books in the series as late as 2004, eventually publishing over 60 titles. The titles/ authors/ publish dates included in this lot are as follows: "The Vigilantes of Montana" -Thomas J. Dimsdale, 1953 "Following the Guidon" Elizabeth B. Custer, 1966; "War-Path and Bivouac" -John F. Finerty 1961; "Campaigning with Crook" (two copies) -Charles King, 1967 (second printing); "Mountain Charley" -E.J. Guerin, 1968; "X. Biedler Vigilante" -Helen Fitzgerald Sanders, 1965 (second printing); "Wah-to-yah and the Taos Trail" -Lewis Garrard, 1966 (fourth printing); "The Beef Bonanza" -James S. Brisbin, 1959; "The Great Diamond Hoax" -Asbury Harpending, 1958; "The Life and Adventures of Joaquin Murieta" -Yellow Bird (John Rollin Ridge) 1977 (fourth printing); "Stepsons of Light" -Eugene Manlove Rhodes, 1969; "A Sketch of Sam Bass The Bandit" -Charles L. Martin, 1956; and With a Camera in Old Navaholand, 1970. All books are in very fine condition with very fine dust jackets. Most of the books have an additional Mylar protective cover. The books all measure about 5.25" x 7.75".
