double barrel 10 ga. shotgun SN 3001 with letter from LR Burke Director of Railway Express Agency dated 1965. Top of barrel engraved W.F. & Co. in 5/16 letters and W.F. & Co. stamped on left side receiver. Letter states the shotgun by serial number was trasferred in 1918 during the acquisition of Wells Fargo and its property. Also included is a signed copy of Tin Turtles to Tucumcari a personal history of the Railway Express Agency by Link Garrett who mentions Les Burke. the shotgun remains very good, barrels show plum to brown natural patina, receiver silver gray drifting to brown, walnut stocks good to very good with typical scattered dings and mars from use and storage, NO cracks or repairs.
