Manufactured in 1944 and released to the civilian market in 1962 from the Red River Ordnance Depot. The left side of the slide has the two line, two block patent dates and address with the Rampant Colt in the center. The top of the slide is marked with the letter "P" ahead of the rear sight and the left side of the frame has a "G.H.D." inspector stamp and the letter "P". Trigger guard has "P" and the Colt "VP" on the left side and the number "81" on the right side. Checkered hammer and slide stop with serrated arched mainspring housing. Fitted with checkered reinforced plastic grips. All blue magazine. The following accessories are included: a W.H. McM. Co. U.S. leather holster, lanyard, double magazine pouch marked "F.S.F./1810/8 1918", and black leather holster hanger stamped "U.S./BOYT-46". Included is an invoice for the pistol from Red River Army Depot.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original Colt Du-Lite finish with some minor handling marks and slight edge wear. The grips are very fine with some very scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Holster is fine with minor handling marks and flex wear. Holster hanger is fine with flex wear.
