Hermann Goering Silver Candelabra. Hermann Goering was the commander in chief of the Luftwaffe and a close associate of Adolf Hitler. He was known for his lavish taste and avid enthusiasm for the outdoors. He was the highest ranking Nazi official to be tried at the Nuremberg Trials and sentenced to execution by hanging but committed suicide by cyanide the night before his execution. This silver candelabra was found in the Berghof vacation home near Berchtesgaden by 1st Lieutenant D.C. Watts of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Infantry Division. The Goering Coat of Arms is deeply etched on the base of the candelabra, have not been polished in years. Has seen use as evidenced by the dried wax on the inside of each candle holder. Included is the original certificate of authenticity as well as the catalog it came from. Very good condition overall. See lots 136-151 for more Hermann Goering items.
