Albert Speer Dinner Spoon. Albert Speer was the Minister of Armaments and War Production as well as Hitler's official architect. He designed and constructed the new Reich Chancellery as well as the Nuremberg Party Rally grounds. He is widely credited for having kept Germany in the war, increasing war production even as conditions got worse for Germany. As Minister of Armaments and War Production, he was responsible for approving new weapons for manufacture and organizing production of adopted weapons and war material. After the war, he was sentenced to 20 years of prison. This dinner knife was found by 1st Lieutenant D.C Watts, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division in the underground storage rooms below the Platterdorf Hotel in the Obersalzburg area. This dinner spoon has the block letter AS monogram etched into the bottom of the handle. The handle has a simple beaded border pattern. The spoon has seen use evidenced by the stains and has not been washed in many years. No damage to the spoon. Included is a copy of the certificate of authenticity. Excellent condition.
