Vintage M. Hohner Chromonica Harmonicas & Cases
Item/Description: Featuring two renowned M. Hohner chromatic harmonicas, each with its original case, the Chromonika III Chromatische Mundharmonika and The 64 Chromonica: A Chromatic Octaves Professional Model. Made in Germany.

Hohner, a renowned German company founded in 1857, is known for its high-quality musical instruments, particularly harmonicas and accordions.

The Chromonika III Chromatische Mundharmonika, first launched in 1937, is a Chromonika III No. 870 model in the key of C, with 16 single holes and 64 reeds.

The 64 Chromonica, introduced in 1938, expanded the chromatic harmonica's range to four octaves, which allowed for deeper, more complex tones. The 64 Chromonica became a distinct voice in the blues genre, particularly in Chicago and West Coast blues, through the innovations of players like Little Walter and George "Harmonica" Smith.
