McCormick and secretary Geo. Goss. Not cancelled. Attractive design with black border and print. Four vignettes: eagle on flag (upper left), coal train (upper right), underground mining scene (top center) and dog next to safe (bottom center). Printed by JC Graham & Co., SLC. 5.5 x 10.5" Folds, creases, tape repair, chipped upper left corner and left edge. Please inspect. According to E&MJ Vol. 23 (1877, pg. 77), the company's property included seven mines located on Huntington Creek, about 100 miles SE of Salt Lake City. The mines were discovered by Mormon settlers in the summer of 1874. Developments include over 2,000 feet of tunnels. A wagon road runs from Springville to the mines.
