Featured in this lot is this U.S. Civil War Era bras belt buckle pair circa 1860's and were displayed in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. There are two buckles in this collection both includes the repousse 'U.S. in the middle. The issues buckle features a imprinted of "X's" with a corroded backing. The second buckle is in fine condition possibly unissued but showing the ear consistent with some field activity. The condition of this pair of Civil War belt buckles is preserved with one of the buckles showing functional use, however the second is eroded in the rear, with a slight to heavy patina adorning the buckles but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of these buckles is 2 1/8" x 3 3/8" for both. The collective weight of these buckles is 8oz. ML12
