Manufactured in 1949. The left side of the barrel is marked with the one line address, The Rampant Colt over "WOODSMAN" on left side of the frame, serial number on the opposite and "COLT" caliber marking on left side of the slide. Ramped front blade and early adjustable Stevens rear target sights, serrated trigger, blue Colt marked magazine and fitted with checkered plastic grips with the Rampant Colt molded at the top of the right panel. Complete with an original hinged lid box for a Target Model pistol.

Condition: Very good. The pistol retains 85% original blue finish with some thinning to gray on the barrel, some bright high edge wear, and some thinning on the grip straps. The grips are excellent with a few tiny dings on the lower edges and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some water stains on the lid and a small area where the outer paper is torn.

B) Manufactured in Spain, circa 1967. Standard markings and features with a Colt marked nickel finished magazine. Complete with cleaning rod, the original box numbered to the gun with plain cardboard sleeve.
