The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Pre-Production Green Goblin Costume Concept Sample Set - 62-46
This unique pre-production Green Goblin costume development set was created during the design phase of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) and includes two costume material samples along with an original costume concept reference sheet used by the film's costume and special effects departments.
The lot features two prototype construction samples measuring approximately 8.5" x 6" and 8" x 8", each demonstrating different materials, textures, and fabrication techniques explored during the development of the Green Goblin's undersuit. One sample incorporates sculpted black rubberized armor components mounted to a stretch fabric backing and is labeled "UNDER SUIT #1," while the second showcases a more intricate layered mechanical-style panel with metallic detailing, illustrating an alternate design direction considered during production.
Also included is an 8" x 11.5" costume design reference sheet titled "Goblin Suit – Under Suit." The sheet depicts the Green Goblin costume concept with highlighted undersuit panel placement and notes describing the design as "Artificial muscle plates / organic / biomimicking." Additional reference images illustrate the intended forms, detailing, and material finishes used by the costume department while refining the character's final appearance. The artwork prominently features the Oscorp logo and provides a fascinating glimpse into the collaborative design process behind one of the film's primary villains.
Portrayed by Dane DeHaan, Harry Osborn transforms into the Green Goblin during the climactic final act of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The character's biomechanical suit represented a dramatic departure from previous cinematic interpretations, blending practical costume elements with visual effects to create an unsettling, organic appearance. Development materials such as these document the evolution of that design long before cameras rolled and offer a rare look at the experimentation involved in bringing the character to life.

The set remains in production-used pre-production condition, exhibiting expected handling, light wear, and creasing to the reference sheet from use during the design process. Please review the accompanying photographs for a complete assessment of the condition.
