Item/Description: Two pairs of modernist studio artisan earrings crafted in Sterling Silver. The free-form triangular shaped pair have a pronged setting which hold semi translucent pieces of Libyan Desert glass. Softly polished surfaces give the glass a faceted gemstone appearance. Libyan Desert glass is a natural glass formed by extreme heat and pressure from a meteor impact, and is found in the deserts of Egypt and Libya . Also known as Great Sand Sea glass; an impactite, made mostly of lechatelierite. Organic design. Omega clip backs. Hallmarked: 925 and unknown maker's logo.

Condition: Good. Silver free of dents, damage. Glass is secure in pronged settings. Omega backs open and click closed securely. Signs of age, use and wear including scratches, scuffs, surface debris, inclusions to glass, tarnish.

The sparkling fully faceted peridot earrings are set into geometric half circle mirror image mounting of Sterling Silver. Ornate. Closed back settings with ball and rope embellishments. Straight back posts with butterfly backs. Unmarked.
