Souvenir Pottery Depicting Abraham Lincoln Displaying nicely, these three pieces of pottery, each with an impression of Lincoln exemplify our fascination with this great leader. Long after his assasination, items were still being made to commemorate his life and death. These examples are most probably from around 1910. Typical of the milkglass produced by Westmoreland, although unmarked, this decanter is embossed not only with Lincoln's bust but also with a scene from his log cabin days on the reverse. The piece presents in excellent condition standing 9" tall. A brown matte finish vase pictures Lincoln along with an eagle on the reverse. The piece is also 9" tall and excellent. Pottery which has the look and feel of Wedgewood was often used for this type of souvenir ware. This three-handled Wedgewood style knock-off commemorates Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln with no clue of the maker on the bottom. In high relief, several of the embellished areas have retained light dirt, but the overall condition is very good with no evidence of chipping or cracking.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Larg (view shipping information)
