Scarce Pre-War Belgian FN Model 1935 High Power Estonian Army Contract Pistol with Holster

Estimate: $1600 - 2500
This is an excellent example of a rare pre-war Estonian contract FN manufactured 1935 High-Power. In 1936 Estonia placed an order for 120 HP pistols with a second order for an additional quantity of 5,338 in 1937. All pistols received an Estonian property mark. The Army received approximately 3,038 and were marked with a large "E.V." ("Eesti-Vabarik", Republic of Estonia) on the back strap, as in the case of this pistol. Early pre-war grips features such as tangent rear sight and slotted back strap with stacked serial numbers. A very rare pistol as most were stored in the arsenal in Tallinn with most of them confiscated by the Russians. With an original Estonian contract leather holster.

Gauge: 9 mm Luger

This pistol has matching numbers, on the frame, slide and back side of the barrel, with the clear and distinct E.V. mark on the back side.
