This is example of a rare pre-war Finnish contract FN Model 1935 High-Power pistol. Supplied to Finland prior to the start of the winter war with Russia in 1940 with only 2,400 pistols actually shipped. The serial number range is 11,000-15,000. Stamped with a small "N5" along with the standard boxed "SA" proof on both sides of the frame. The slide has the standard pre-war FN Herstale two-line factory and patent markings and proof marks. All early pre-war features such as tangent rear sight, slotted back strap and stacked serial numbers on the frame and slide with the barrel numbered on the back side. With original "SA" marked brown leather holster.

Condition: Very fine overall with 85% plus of the original blued finish showing wear on the edges and high spots overall with thinning and spotting on the grip straps with some extensive scattered minor pitting present on the front grip strap. The grips are very good plus with nice sharp distinct checkering with only minor handling marks. The holster has been correctly modified the Finnish Government and is excellent with a dark brown color with tight stitching overall and is complete with the original leather shoulder strap. A very nice example of another scarce low production Belgium model 1935 High-Power pistol.
