The scapula is fully desiccated naturally, most likely discovered around the Western bison rangelands. The oil painting has muted pastel-like coloursthe bison's legs look sinewy depicting the strength the massive animals are known for, some reaching up to 2,000 pounds in weight and standing 6' tall.
