Featured in this lot is this Santa Clara Pueblo etched pottery vessel, circa 1960's from Pueblo Indians artists, Grace and Camilia Tafoya. Pueblo pottery is one of the most highly developed of the American Indian arts still in production today. The Tafoya Potters is headed by its matriarch, Margaret Tafoya. This piece shows fertility corn effigies etched into the side walls of the pot with a unique blend of black and red clay; the lip shows a scalloped design. The condition of this etched pottery vessel is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this Pueblo pottery vessel are 3 1/2" x 5" x 5".
