Large Native American Santa Clara Avanyu Pottery Vase by Apolonia Sisneros (1889-1972), measures 7'' x 10'' and is signed ''Apolonia'' on the bottom, originally this pot was black, however it lost the black slip (or someone removed it), a clear acrylic based sealant has been added to preserve the pot, FYI: ''Apolonia Sisneros is one of the few potters who began making classic Santa Clara pottery in the 1930's. Her pieces are both carved and polished. Her husband was Victorion Sisneros, Governor of Santa Clara Pueblo.''
