Framed and single mount measures 23” x 25.50.” Plastic frame has wood veneer. Ready to hang. Well preserved under glass. Bond number 1341 for $1000.00 dollars at seven per cent per annum. Has official seal. Vignette is top center under the bond heading and is of sail boats, a tender, and a couple of steam powered boats, one of which has a side paddle wheel still attached. This must be an artist’s rendition of San Francisco. Signed H[enry] P[errin] Coon, mayor from 1863-1867, H[enry] M. Hale, Auditor [1861-1868], and Jos. S. Paxson, Treasurer [1862-1867]. Paxson signed all the coupons which start in 1871 and end in 1883. The coupons have been trimmed for the mounting and do not contain all the coupons. They number from 14 to 40, so thirteen are missing. The bond was not redeemed.
