Item/Description: Signed "R. Lalique France Épines" crystal dish. Manufactured by Rene Lalique (French, 1860-1945), the renowned French jeweler, medalist, and glass designer, this beautiful tray was part of the Épines Garniture De Toilette series. Known as Model No. 599, it was meant to serve as a soap dish (porte-savon). Épines is French for thorns. The oblong dresser dish is made from clear and frosted crystal. The base is decorated with a swirling thorns motif. Beveled rim. Masterful workmanship. Hallmarked: Etched to base R. Lalique France.
