Included in this lot is a Remington-Smoot New Model No. 4 Revolver. This revolver is chambered in .38 Rim Fire short. Remington-Smoot revolvers were a direct competitor of the Colt line of revolvers. The Remington featured an unusual design in which the frame, 2 1/2" barrel and ejector housing were all one piece, this making for an extremely strong and durable design that withstood hard use. The barrel is correctly marked, “E. REMINGTON AND SONS, ILION, N.Y." The finish to this revolver is in excellent condition with much of the original nickel finish remaining and a light patina starting to form on the cylinder. Serial Number: 3474. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
