Measuring 37 1/4 inches in overall length, what appears to be a black lacquer finished cane with a horn ball top is in fact an air powered weapon, with the top half serving as an air reservoir and the bottom half containing a crank powered firing mechanism and the barrel. The brass tip of the cane doubles as the head of a wooden ramrod, and unscrewing it reveals a 32 caliber rifled brass sleeve, which can be removed to access the 45 caliber smoothbore barrel, allowing this weapon to be loaded for slug or shot at the owners discretion. Unscrewing the cane at the center reveals the back end of the firing assembly, as well as the gas vent for the reservoir. Accessories with the gun include the wooden ramrod, a cocking key, a mold with sprue cutter for the sleeve, a patch cutter for the smoothbore, and an air pump threaded to match the reservoir.
