This intriguing signed limited edition art print is by Lowell Nesbitt (United States, 1933 - 1993). Generally better known for his larger-than-life paintings of flowers — "I've been trying to treat the flower monumentally, to get beyond its prettiness" — he once remarked, his drawings and prints of the male nude figure are avidly collected and appreciated. The entire edition of this print was stored by the publisher since the early 1980s. The image will be familiar to Nesbitt collectors as "Untitled Nude 1" — reversed and printed on smaller sheets: * Hand signed by the artist in pencil LR * Numbered from a limited edition of 900 * Sheet size: 19 × 24 * Lithography on fine art paper (unwatermarked) * Very slight edge soil and creasing; readily matted out * Certificate of Authenticity issued by Midwest Estate Buyers * * Nesbitt graduated from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, and the Royal College of Art in London, where he majored in stained glass and etching. * * During his career he had more than 130 solo exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the United States and abroad, including the Stable Gallery, Andrew Crispo Gallery, Gimpel and Weitzenhoffer, Brooke Alexander, Inc., Stafanotty Gallery in New York; the Baltimore Museum of Art; Galerie M.E.
