QING: Guang Xu, 1875-1908, AE cash (2.82g), Nanjing mint, Jiangsu Province, H-22.1358, Hsu-261, machine struck in 1898 from dies made by the Heaton Mint, Birmingham, center hole slightly off center, Fine, ex K.K. Lee Collection, in old American Missionary Church Tithe & Offering Envelope dated 3 July 1932. In January 1898, the West Factory of the Jiangnan Silver Dollar and Regulation Coins General Mint in Nanking started striking coins with a weight of 7 fen. This lasted for only a few months.
