This ceramic storage jar is crafted in a black-glazed finish with a bulbous body, a short neck flaring into a pronounced, rounded rim, and two loop handles along its sides. The surface displays wear consistent with age, revealing burnished areas. Subtle linear striations and tooling marks can be observed across the vessel's surface, suggesting hand shaping and smoothing techniques. The jar's rounded base tapers into a small foot, and a small spout-like projection extends from the upper body. While the exact date of creation is undetermined, the form and style are indicative of possible Inca origins, likely dating from the 15th to 16th century. This example demonstrates utilitarian craftsmanship and would have been used for the storage and pouring of liquids or grains in its original context.
