Ancient Greek bronze dolphin coins, artifacts, proto-money ( VI - V Century B.C. ) in museum-style display case. Dolphins are 1" - 1 1/4" L. 3 1/2" square case. Researchers of these coins assume that 10 "dolphins" were equal to 6 "arrows".  Dolphins became the dominant Olvian proto-money. Archaeological studies show that there are a large number of these copecks in the Treasury of temples & wealthy Olviopolitics, with deposits of thousands being used until the end of IV century. BC, when the coins of the Milesian monetary system began to displace them.  Â
