Very fine pair of French scent bottles with 18K yellow gold caps and mounts. These gorgeous cut and polished crystal bottles are of high quality and are most likely Baccarat. The octagonal bases are covered in gold with a deeply engraved rim around the base rim. The gold caps are engine turned and finely engraved. One bottle cap unscrews and has a glass stopper (stopper chipped). The other bottle has a press release and is hinged. Inside the cap there is a glass piece (to secure the scent) which covers an engraved crown with "London" underneath. Each bottle measures 2 11/16" tall. The octagonal base is 1 1/4" wide. Two indistinguishable punch marks found. Tests 18K. Great condition (except for one stopper). Circa 1850.
