Full length unaltered commercial p53. 39" barrel, 1863 tower lock. Barrel is marked with Birmingham proofs. No military issue markings identified.
Palmer style bands, and Enfield rear sight. Metal finish is even brown patina overall with a consistent pitted surface. Bore is clear but heavily rusted, and no trace of rifling found.
Locks holds full and half cock, but no mainspring tension is evident.
Wood is sound excepting crack at left of barrel channel forward of breach.

Canadian buyers subject to GST and PST of shipping location. Visa and Amex accepted and will be charged at end of session.
Buyers wishing to pay via Etransfer must notify via email with in 24hrs of receipt of invoice or credit card on file will be charged.

Firearm ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, test firing is not undertaken. Any concern must be addressed with a recognized gunsmith prior to firing any firearm.
CANADIAN BIDDERS: Firearm and Ammunition purchasers require a valid P.A.L. (Possession and Acquisition License). All restricted and prohibited firearms are registered with the Canadian Firearms Program and will be transferred to the purchaser following the completion of the sale and receipt of full payment. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to determine that they have the correct category of license for the intended purchase prior to bidding. You will require a P.A.L. for Firearms or Ammunition.No P.A.L. is required for Antique category firearms.
Firearms must be shipped to an address on file with the CFO.
Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver/ or you don’t have a valid license to possess will be sold at the next auction, regular commission charges apply.
As we are selling Firearms and Parts it is imperative that bidders/customers provide us their correct information. We require your full correct name as shown on your PAL, PAL number, date of birth, the mailing address that is associated with your PAL. Customers who fail to do so, or who need the paperwork restarted due to an error on their part will be charged an administrative fee of $25.00 per lot. U.S.A./INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS:
Please be advised that we cannot ship any sort of firearm, directly to USA or International buyers. Buyers must use a third-party exporter for these items.
We cannot ship receivers, gun parts, air guns to USA or International buyers. These cannot be shipped by us or an exporter. Do not bid on these items.

You have sole responsibility for your purchases. You and or your importing FFL will be required to file paperwork with BATF in order to be able to import an item. Please check with your FFL and/or BATF regarding import of specific items. Not all firearms are able to be imported/exported into the USA. Note that any items that have been purchased but are deemed “not importable/exportable” will be sold at the next auction. Regular commission charges apply.
Exporters International Bidders
You have sole responsibility for purchases. Please check with your governing body to ensure your purchase is importable, as well as the third party exporter to ensure they will be able to export to your country, this should be done prior to bidding.
Not all firearms are able to be imported/exported Internationally. Note that any items that have been purchased but are deemed “not importable/exportable” will be sold at the next auction. Regular commission charges apply.
Storage fees of $5.00 per item per month will be charged on all items that we have not been able to send to your exporter within 120 days of the sale. If you are unable to complete the transaction within 1 year, the lots will be sold at the next auction. You will be charged regular commission on the resale.
ALL BIDDERS:
BUYERS PREMIUM & TAXES: All items purchased online are subject to a 10% buyers premium. Canadian Taxes will be charged at the rate applicable to the shipping destination. Item(s) purchased and shipped outside of Canada are not subject to Canadian taxes, however you may be responsible for customs or duty charges.
TERMS OF PAYMENT: At the conclusion of the Auction all items purchased will be charged to the Visa or Mastercard that was provided at registration to guarantee payment. If shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. A $50.00 late payer fee will be added to any invoice that can't be processed at the conclusion of the sale. Please ensure that we have the correct number and expiry. Recurring problem payers will be banned from future sales. Bidders are responsible for full payment of all their purchases at the drop of the hammer. Our Consignors are paid based on the hammer price. We will attempt to charge your credit card partial amounts until the amount is paid in full. Any purchase which has not been fully paid will be resold at the next available opportunity. Our normal commission charge will apply on re-sale. Any balance remaining unpaid after the resale will be referred to our collection agency, and or small claims court.

BIDDING: The highest bidder shall be the purchaser and the decision of the auctioneer relating to all matters is final. Pre-bids are time stamped and the earliest bid will win any tie situation. All sales are final and not subject to conditions. All merchandise is sold 'As Is' without recourse to the vendor. All goods advertised or displayed are subject to withdrawal prior to sale within the discretion of the auctioneer. The Auctioneers may reject a bid at their discretion without reason or explanation. Bid increments are fixed for online only auctions. Bid increments are fixed for the pre-bidding and maximum bid portion of Online/Live auctions. Once the sale goes Live the Auctioneer has the option to adjust the bid increments.
Placing your bid is your acceptance of all Terms and Conditions, Buyers Premium, Taxes, Shipping, Pick up and Payment information. Please read them before bidding. Bid retractions will only be permitted when we have made a gross description error, obvious customer bid input errors ($5000.00 instead of $500.00). In the case that we have to resell a lot to a back bidder your are responsible for the difference between your bid and theirs, there will also be a $50 administration fee charged, buyers premium and taxes.
CONSIGNOR BIDDING: Consignors are not authorized to bid on their own items or have someone bid on their behalf. We reserve the right to withdraw any items or bids made by the offending consignor.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:
Except as expressly provided above, all property is sold “As Is'. Glenn James Antique and Collectable Arms nor the Consignor makes any representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the title, merchantability, fitness or condition of the property or as to the correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance or period of the property.
All Firearms and Ammunition are sold as Collector lots only. Fitness to fire or otherwise discharge the Firearm is expressly denied. Gunsmith should be consulted before attempting to use or fire any Firearm or Ammunition.
The Purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event shall Glenn James Antique and Collectable Arms be liable for any damages including without limitation any compensatory, incidental or consequential damages.
The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or aging. Specific condition requests can be obtained via email. Any statement given is strictly an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact.
