For your consideration is this modern re-creation of a White Rose Gasoline round metal sign. The sign is single sided and measures 25.5". It features the famous "Boy holding a slate" from ENARCO advertising. The image is of a smiling rosy cheeked boy with black and white checkered knickers and red socks holding a slate that reads, "White Rose Gasoline" in the center. The top and bottom of the slate read "EN-AR-Co Motor Oil" and "White Rose Gasoline" respectively. ENARCO, or The National Refining Company was located in Cleveland, OH; it was in business from 1882-1950. Boy holding a slate was its most memorable and enduring ad campaigns. At the service stations the boy appeared on 6ft. signs with a clever message that changed every couple of days. This reproduction single sided metal sign is in very good condition though it does have some scratches.
