Lot of 2. 1) No. 66 for 100 shares issued to R. F. Kent, Trustee and was signed by the secretary, King, and president Hill Beachy, Sept 7th, 1872. The certificate has a geometrical design border and a vignette in the center of a mill and miners. It is signed R. F. Kent on the back. 2) A deed from J. M. Pelins, Dan Leggett, James Menefee, W.C. Humphrey, and Wm. G. Blakely to H. H. Christie for claims on 10 ledges, June 11th 1866. This document as 1 3/4" line that looks to have been burned, but is otherwise in very good condition. This district was located in Nye County and was so named for the two streams flowing into Big Smoky Valley. It was located 50 miles south of Austin, Nevada. The district was the scene of a rush between 1865 and 1869. The first of these documents is a stock certificate from the Murphy Mining Company, Incorporated Jan. 18, 1872.
