Lot of over 100. "The Western Union Telegraph Company. Incorporated. Cable Service to all the World." One of the telegrams is dated 6 July 1898 with PAID stamped. To "Palo Alto Cal Bullion Exchange Bank". Below is a note to pay Frank Cramer $20. Good condition with yellowed edges. A majority of these telegrams are made out to the Bullion Exchange Bank, and stamped "Carson City". According to the Western Union website, the company was founded in 1851 "as the New York and Mississippi Valley Printing Telegraph Company". This company was in business for over 150 years.
