Lot of 2. 1. Peerless Bullfrog Mining Company stock; Incorporated in South Dakota, 1906; No. 3030 issued December 15, 1906 to Thomas Cowan for 500 shares; signed by A.A. Robertson, President and J.M. Howorth, Assistant Secretary; printed by the New York Banknote Co. (steel plate stock form); U/C. 2. Prospectus for the Peerless-Bullfrog Mining Company, 1906. Eight page prospectus printed in orange and black. 7.5 x 9”; Center fold affects cover illustration. Promoted by United Investors of New York. Contains maps and photos of the mine and region, with the photos printed in orange. The Peerless group was located just north of the Denver. However, the company was relatively worthless. They also owned the Elkhorn MC property west of the Montgomery Shoshone and Amethyst Bullfrog. In The World's Work, THE GET-RICH-QUICK GAME, March, 1911, pages 14112-14121, this mine was listed as being one of the most egregious swindles in the past seven years. With 2,000,000 in capitalization, the United Investors Company of New York apparently never produced anything but defrauding investors.
