Incorporated in the Territory of Arizona, February, 1906. Cert. #235 issued March 5, 1906 to Ralph Wardle for 1000 shares. Signed by A.D. Virgin (?), President and N.H. Whitmore, Secretary. Printed by Lith H.S. Crocker Company, S.F. U/C. Green border on crème paper with black ink; large bullfrog vignette at top center. Stamped diagonally on face in gold, “Mines at Bullfrog.” From the New York Times, June 4, 1908: “BROKERS ACCUSED OF MINING SWINDLE; Broker Gallagher Sues the Weirs And Says Maurice Untermyer Dropped $11,000 IN DENVER RUSH EXTENSION Instead of Representing a Rich Mine, It Is Charged, the Stock Was Practically Worthless. William G. Gallagher, a Curb broker of 85 Broad Street, has begun proceedings against John C. Elmo and William Weir, brokers of 25 Broad Street, for the recovery of $15,650, with interest and commissions paid by him and three others to them for shares in the Denver Rush Extension Mining Company, which shares he alleges in the complaint are worthless.” There is no record of the outcome of this lawsuit. There are no production records for this mine which appears to have been a swindle.
