Offered in this lot we have a Mexican colonial style tinwork candle holder originating from the early 20th century. The piece is constructed out of thin sheets of tin that have been shaped and welded together. The candle holder shows intricate tooled patterns across the surface of the piece. The piece shows space to hold a total of three candles on a sloped incline moving up to the center. The candle tree shows good condition overall with some minor wear. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman which was both part museum and gallery. The piece measures 12 1/4" wide by 17" tall and with the base measuring 7 1/2" in diameter.
