This fold-out New York World's Fair postcard set was custom-printed by the production for use in the 1997 science fiction blockbuster Men in Black. Measuring approximately 4.25 x 6 inches when folded and 6 x 34 inches when fully extended, the colorful souvenir-style booklet features multiple postcard panels depicting landmarks from the 1964–1965 New York World's Fair, including the iconic Unisphere, Tower of Light, Futurama pavilion, and aerial views of the fairgrounds.
This style of postcard booklet appears during one of the film's pivotal sequences when the alien known as Edgar (Vincent D'Onofrio) shows Dr. Laurel Weaver (Linda Fiorentino) his intended destination while fleeing Agents K (Tommy Lee Jones) and J (Will Smith). The postcards direct attention to the New York World's Fair, foreshadowing the climactic confrontation beneath the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park.
Created specifically for the production, the booklet faithfully recreates the appearance of a vintage World's Fair souvenir while serving as an important story prop. Its accordion-fold construction allows multiple postcard images to be viewed in sequence, making it both a practical filming prop and an instantly recognizable piece from one of the film's most memorable scenes.
The postcard set remains in production-used condition with minor handling and storage wear consistent with studio use. Please review the accompanying photographs for a complete assessment of its condition.
