Chandellas of Jejakabhukti, Jayavarman, Copper, 2.52g, Obv: Hanuman / warrior running to right with a bow in his hand, Rev: Devnagari legend “Shri Majja / ya Vamma…”. Very fine, very rare.
Jayavarman was the son of his predecessor Sallakshanavarman and was succeeded by his nephew Prithvivarman. Very little historical information is known about him. The Mau inscription calls him the residence of "generosity, truth, policy and heroism".
