Marcia Marx Signed Proof Art Print Blind Man's Bluff
This favorite children's game looks quite kinky being played by these blind-folded, scantily-clad adults. * * Artist: Marcia Marx * Signature: In pencil, lower right * Title: Blind Man's Bluff * Medium: Lithograph on Rives paper * Edition: Unnumbered, dedicated artist proof, marked "For Michel" lower left * Year: 1975 * Sheet size: 22 x 30 inches * Publisher: Bank Street Atelier, with blind stamp lower right corner * Condition: Excellent * * * Biography: * Marcia Marx (1931-2005) was an artist, sculptor, and visual satirist with an eye for the absurd. She studied art at Yale University and Columbia University, and they moved to Mexico City where she painted for more than a decade. Here later years were spent in Israel, Paris and Rome. She was the first woman to hold a solo show at the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, which was quite successful. Two of her other notable exhibitions include a retrospective of her art at the Mexican Cultural Institute of New York, and a solo show titled "An Interpretation of the Holocaust" at the Houston Holocaust Museum. Today her artwork is part of many public and private collections around the world. * We are pleased to present from an estate a group of dedicated artist proofs. *
