For your consideration is this rare, new in box, Marble's 9" Ideal 2004 Prototype, non-production, fixed blade knife with Maple Burl handle. According to the website, All About Pocket Knives, Marble's had a "rebirth" era from 1997-2004, and it was during that time that the company produced some of their best quality knives. This 2004 Prototype is the direct fruit of that era! It features the instantly recognizable, massive 9" fuller blade--the "Ideal"--and a burl walnut handle. The overall length of the knife is 12". The blade is struck with the Marble's banner stamp and is imprinted, "2004 Prototype". The blade is made of 1070-6C high carbon Vanadium Steel, 1/4" thick. The knife comes new in box with Marbles tanned leather sheath.
