-Lot of 3. 1) Color photo print of what appears to be Flathead Lake by photographer J.W. Meiers. From other photographs, it appears that Meiers was an active photographer in the Polson area. His full name was Julius W. Meiers and he was an apprentice of Herman Schnitzmeyer, a well known photographer. Schitzmeyer would often tell Meiers “Photography is 90 percent man, 10 percent equipment," Meiers bought the business from Schitzmeyer in 1922. It measures 12” x 24” and has very little wear. [REF: Bigfork Eagle: News, Flathead photographer`s work finally getting its due]. 2) This is a black and white panorama measuring 27"x 7" of Thompson`s Falls, Montana. There is one nearly three inch scratch on upper left of photo. But the contrast is very sharp otherwise. This is a very interesting photo of what became the county seat of Sanders County. 3) Medium color print of Native American prarie life in Montana. The teepees, people and horses are perfectly reflected in the still water in the foreground. This custom frame and triple-matted picture measures 36"x15". There is a buffalo in the adjacent meadow, with the mountains in the background. The photographer signed this photo, and his name is Brad LaPayne. The Mission Range is part of the Rockies, and home to the Flathead Indian Tribes. HKA#64546
