Very early original Walt Disney pen and ink "Fill Up My Can" drawing by Walt Disney with signature. Measures 8" X 4 3/4". Attached to a blue page with a heading titled "Miscellaneous" from "The Girl Graduate's Record Book" that belonged to Ruth Disney Beecher. The reverse side of this page has another work of art and a poem by another artist that is signed "Ipkigenia Gilhouse" with the date "21". Over the past several years we have had consigned to us some famous archives as the Gillespie, Murphys and Sharon. This Disney archive was purchased in 1971 by our consigner and is new to the market place. CNBC has recently producted and aired on television the one hour documentary titled "Walt Disney the Man and the Myth". Walter Elias Disney was born in 1901, and had been with the Kansas City Film Ad in 1921 for nearly a year. His business card read, "Walt Disney Cartoonist Comic Cartoons, Advertising Cartoon, Animated Motion Pucture Cartoons". This pre Laugh-O-Gram Studio cartoon is in excellent condition. After 1925 Walt Disney rarely put a pen or pencil to paper. Then as the head of a thriving movie studio, he could leave the draftsmanship to others.
