MILLS ELECTRICITY IS LIFE SHOCK MACHINE.
A classic and very impressive coin-operated shock machine with tremendous visual appeal. The upper portion of the case features a large papier mache plaque that features various embossed male figures, a circular section corresponding to your shock level with detailed description such as "These points indicate healthy heart" or "Increased voltage will benefit system". As one proceeds to engage the handles, and the voltage increases, an arrow indicator with the Mills trademark owl rises in number and intensity, becoming a testament to your tolerance for pain. A large cast iron plate sits behind the glass viewing window, in the center of this plate is the rheostat that increases voltage. But perhaps more interesting is the visual appeal of the iron plate. Embossed on the iron plate is Ben Franklin holding a kite with Colonial buildings in the background and lightning bolts striking down at his kite. The machine is encased in a restored oak front paneled cabinet with fanciful iron legs. All castings have been replated in nickel and the background glass exclaiming "Electricity--the silent physician". Original iron cased cash box enclosure within lower portion of cabinet. SIZE: 78" h x 25" d x 28" w. CONDITION: Machine has excellent older restoration. Mechanics appear to be intact, but in need of attention, machine is untested. Decorative handle enclosures appear to be older replacements and perhaps not exact and proper. 1-12991
