1849-This is a lot of three different knives, with very different origins. The first is an 1887 Hospital Corps knife that was recovered from a barn in Lincoln County, New Mexico. Knife measures 16” overall, with a 12” blade, wood handle and broken hilt. The knife is pitted and very used. The next knife is a little over 12” long, with a 7.5” nickel silver blade. It is in the “Arkansas Toothpick” style with a cracked mother of pearl handle. The blade is marked “IXL Sheffield.” The third knife is actually a cut down Civil War era sword, with a brass eagle head pommel. The knife has an overall length of 15”, with an 8.5” blade that is marked “USWD” on one side and Ames Mfg. Co. Cabotville 1849.” The knife has a wood handle and a brass hilt. All three knives are unique in their own way and would make a great addition to any cutlery collection. HKA#64425
