For your consideration is a Métis Native American handmade horn handled knife. The Métis peoples trace their ancestry to the First Nations and European Settlers primarily the French, in the early decades of colonization. These Métis peoples are recognized as one of Canada’s Aboriginal Peoples under the Constitution Act of 1982, along with First Nations and Inuit peoples. This spear point style knife has a 7” blade and 5” long Oryx horn scales. The knife is also fixed with a brass guard and has the name R. Raine etched into the blade near the guard. Overall the knife measures 12 ½” and was made in Alberta, Canada.
