Offered in this lot we have a collection of framed Ellensburg Labor Day Rodeo poster prints originating from the late 20th century. This collection consists of three different framed poster, each from a different year and with a painting by a different artist. The Ellensburg Labor Day Rodeo was started in 1923 as a weekend event along with the local fair in Ellensburg, Washington. What started out as a local competition is now the second largest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the top 25 largest rodeos in America. The first of the prints is the poster for the 72nd Labor Day Ellensburg rodeo in 1994. The poster shows information on the rodeo, as well as a painting by Stefan Baumann titled "Ropin' The Wind". It depicts a cowboy on the back of a galloping horse preparing to throw his lasso with a indistinct crowd in the back ground. The second piece is the poster for the 74th Ellensburg Labor Day Rodeo in 1996. Along with information on the rodeo the poster shows a print by Don Crook titled "Out of the Money". The painting shows a cowboy sitting on a crate with his head hung low and being comforted by his horse and a hound. The third and final piece is from the 79th Ellensburg Labor Day Rodeo in 2001. The poster shows the standard information with a painting print by Henry (Hank) G Funk titled "Spur of the Moment". The painting depicts a cowboy in a pink shirt, tan hat and set on the back of a horse with a look of concentration across his face. The collection shows good condition overall and are set into wood frames. The first frame measures 19 1/2" wide by 25 3/4" tall, the second measures 20" wide by 26" tall, and the third measures 21" wide by 27 1/2" tall.
