Lakota Sioux Fully Beaded Skull Cracker War Club
The lot features a fully beaded skull cracker war club attributed to the Lakota Sioux Native American Indians from the early to mid-1900’s. The piece shows a wood haft which is wrapped in a parfleche rawhide which is sinew sewn and covered in glass trade seed beadwork in a linear design with greasy yellow, cobalt, chalk white and red white hearts. The top shows a flap skull cracker head which has a stone wrapped in parfleche rawhide secured to the haft and adorned with beadwork. The end of the club has a drop of old horsehair tail hair and overall the piece is in nice presentable condition. The war club measures 24" long overall with a horse hair tassel measuring an additional 24" long.
