This impressive double-bladed battle axe was custom-made by the production of Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) for use by one of Jurgen the Brutal's Viking warriors. Designed to appear as a formidable medieval weapon while remaining safe for on-set use, the oversized prop measures approximately 59 inches long by 22 inches wide, creating an imposing screen presence during the film's large-scale action sequences.
The axe features a lightweight molded plastic construction with a realistic weathered metallic finish across its massive twin blades. The long shaft is finished with sculpted faux leather wrap detailing and decorative gold-painted accents, while the pommel and central grip incorporate intricate Norse-inspired ornamentation that complements the fantasy aesthetic of Jurgen's fearsome army. The combination of detailed paintwork and textured surfaces gives the prop the convincing appearance of forged steel.
In Jumanji: The Next Level, Jurgen the Brutal, portrayed by Rory McCann, serves as the game's primary antagonist, commanding an army of heavily armed Viking-style warriors in the fantasy world of Jumanji. Weapons such as this battle axe helped establish the imposing visual identity of Jurgen's forces.
A striking display piece from the Jumanji franchise, this custom-made battle axe represents the craftsmanship of the film's prop department and would make an outstanding addition to any collection of screen-used fantasy or adventure film memorabilia.
