Tall, corrugated pot is an above-average example, both in shape and form, of Mogollon corrugated pottery olla, a type of prehistoric Native American storage jar.
This type of pottery was created by the Mogollon culture, which inhabited central Arizona and New Mexico - Characterized by its distinctive corrugated texture, created by coiling the clay and leaving the coils unpolished on the exterior surface - The warm shades of brown and red with shiny black interiors are a result of the smudging technique innovated by Mogollon potters.

Minor restoration considering its size. Quite remarkable actually.
